Yeah, Halo games are also a good choice. Though if you don't plan on subscribing to Xbox Live, just wait for them to get cheap, or rent/borrow them.
Mass Effect and Halo 3 after that get Mass Effect 2 and Halo: ODST.
After you buy those four, win the lottery, because you're going to be BROKE! haha :p

Mass Effect 1 and 2. Or Mass Effect 1 and Gears 1, or Mass Effect 2 and Gears 1.
Mass Effect 2 and L4D2 is probably the best of both worlds if you're talking console exclusives.

but my friend letting me borrow mass effect 1 so what other games
Mass Effect 2, Gears of War and Gear of War 2, you can get both of those for less than 50 bucks.
should be on recommendation sticky, but i would go with Mass Effect 2 and Modern Warfare 2 or Bioshock
Mass Effect 2 and Splinter Cell Conviction when it comes out. Until then I would go with a Halo game, Forza 3, or Fable II.
