Xbox wireless adapter USB

Ok I know the xbox can connect wireless through that little 100 Usb adapter.....Now I have a small usb adapter that i use for a laptop,Would that be able to connect me to the network? even a slightest connection?Xbox wireless adapter USB

Yeah i'm pretty sure you have to buy THEIR $100 adapter. They only way around it is to get it on a sale or buy maybe a used one at a gamestore! ;) I finally broke down and bought one. It beats tripping over a cord every day!
nope sorry a pc adaptor wont work,,,even though the official microsoft one is just an over priced pc adaptor with the MS logo...
