ME 2 second disk!

If I am on the second disk for ME 2, am I more than half way through the game?ME 2 second disk!
If your on the second disc then your half way then, when it comes the final parts of the game it will ask ou to put in the 1st disc again. Bioware did this becasue a large majority of the game is on the second disc, or at least the bigger parts.ME 2 second disk!

That sucks though, I am enjoying it way too much at this point, and I don't want it to be over. I've never really been a big RPG fan but ME 2 is absolutely incredible. I played it all weekend, I couldn't put it down and now that i'm back at work, I can't wait to get home and play it some more. How many hours did it take you to complete it? And did you do a bunch of the side missions?
It's that good of a game that it's TWO disks??
I'm at 26 hours and I'm not on the second disk yet.
I beat the game in 20 hours total exactly. Everyone was loyal, around 90 percent of the side missions were complete. All upgrades were done. It has some decent replayability and I love the game but I was disappointed that it was kinda short. Though I guess when I think about it 20 hours isnt short, I just wish it had gone on alot longer than it did.

Wow, I must be really milking it then lol, but I don't feel like I am going abnormally slow.
It's actually closer to the 1/4 point than anything. Maybe 1/3.
actually just because you reached the second disk dosent mean your halfway through. I reached the second disk early on and i would say i was only 1/4 way through the game. It depends on if you have been attack the maion missions or not if not then it could be halfway but if you are its very easy to reach the second disk with nothing extra completed.

I'm a pretty good gamer and I'm over 30 hours with 2 crew members left to get and 3 loyalty missions before I even continue on the main story.

I was pretty surprised to hear he beat it 90% in 20 hrs too.
Kind of. I switched to disc 2 about 7 hours in and I'm currently at hour 20 and still on disc 2. But I've been doing all the loyalty missions. I'd assume the game is significantly shorter if you don't do them.

When my final save was done it was at 20 hours exactly. All were loyal. I romanced Miranda. I am not the only one on this site saying they beat the game with everything done around 20ish hours total. The counter keeps moving even if you arent sitting there playing the game Endgame.Everyones loyalty mission was done. I had all the people. I did all the side quests on the major planets. I was full paragon with some renegade points as well mixed in for flavor. I scanned probably 50 percent of the planets for minerals and I am sure I missed some side missions that are from anomalies on other planets I may have missed. Just because its taking you 30+ hours to beat the game doesnt mean im lying, it means you are taking it slowly.I dont take kindly to someone calling me a liar over something as stupid as a video game especially when I wasnt even putting the game down. You sir can take your opinion and shove it =) I know the time I beat the game in, I know what I did in the game. I just had stated I wished it had taken longer to beat.

That might make my gametime less. I also skipped some of the dialogue at times and that does decrease the time it takes to finish the game as well. Dident do that quite as often though as you may think. If you just go straight towards your objectives in missions and dont stop for anything it doesnt take long but as stated I did it on easy mode which decreases the fighting time trememdously. I never played this game for the action sequences I liked the story and the characters.I always beat games fast when I really get into them. I remember when the first Fable came out I picked it up at the midnight opening and already beat it before Gamestop closed the following day at 9pm. Was the first person to trade it in. Should have just rented it. Right now I am playing Dragon Age and so far this game seems like it will take alot longer to beat than Mass Effect 2. 45 or so minutes in and im only at 2% complete. I am looking forward to a nice long game this time, should take me at least a week =)

I'm playing the game on the hard setting but I have only died 3 or 4 times so far.
I think it might depend on where you're going. I'm not even 10 hours in yet, and I was asked to swap discs when I landed on a certain planet.
you have to change the disc when you're going to illium. man, i love that place, along with omega and zakera ward of citadel. the view of the citadel from zakera ward is beautiful. illium is very cool as well, made me wish i was playing the game in 3d.

Yeah well the first Mass Effect lasted me 15 hours, I am already on 19 hours on ME2.
