One day, I went to play MW2 and I started my xbox as normal, and everything appeared to be working fine. When I entered a game, I noticed that I could not look up or down. I could look side to side, and the right analog stick felt normal. I then popped open the controller to see if there was anything wrong. I looked inside and nothing looked out of place, and the right and left analogs looked and moved exactly the same.

I had a similar problem with my analog stick (the button wouldn't push down) I opened it up, everything looked ok, but I couldn't fix it. In the end i just bought a new one, it was worth it in the end.
