harddrive installation problem

hi guys, i got ME2 2 days ago and i tried installing the game on my harddrive but halfway through the installation process, it stopped and gave me the message saying ''disc is scratched or there might me a dust on the disc''. once the installation process went up to 93% and it gave me the same message. i've got more than 12GB of space on my harddrive and i'm not sure what the problem is. any help or answer will be much appreciated. thanks in advance.harddrive installation problem
well is the disc damaged in any way?harddrive installation problem
nope the game is brand new, no scratches at all.edit: actually it did the same with AC2 aswell.
you do know that you still need the disc to play it if its installed, so it serves no purpose

Installing games actually serves a huge purpose. Apart from improving load times, which aren't all that noticeable, it greatly reduces the noise your 360 makes when running games. Due to the fact that installed games play off the hard drive, the system runs a lot quieter, making gaming a heck of a lot more enjoyable because you don't have to deal with the jet engine that is your 360. There is a HUGE difference between playing an installed game and an uninstalled one.
Don't forget the amount of heat that you save because the dvd drive isn't running. So yes, installing does a huge amount of good.

For your problem, all I can say is keep trying. You could try changing the way you have your 360. Like if it's vertical, lay it down and try it.
