So recently i decided to get back to some online gaming on my 360. I bought month card for enabling LIVE, i entered he code on the web (xbox.com). But when i sign in on my 360, it says ''Xbox LIVE silver''... when i go to ''manage account'' and ''memberships'', i can see the monthly subscription right there, with today's date as starting one - means it is allready being used, but i can not play online... is it possible it can take more time to ''kick in''? Anyone has experience with this? Thanks for any info.Silver account not changing to Gold.
More time to kick in that is a good one. No I doubt that is the reason and I would call them asap. Its bs that you have to pay for it anyway but you could probably call and say this about every live card you buy from here on just get more bang for your buck. Its not ethical but then again MS really isn't ethical for what they are doing about online play. Online play doesn't cost very much to run and its not right to charge people for using it just becuz they can. This applies to the old statement just becuz you can do something doesn't mean that you should. People with more power have more responsibility to do the right thing.Silver account not changing to Gold.

I remember the question ''why does Xbox live cost money to play?'' was on inside Xbox EU. The answer was something along the lines of, ''to maintain servers, and because it is the best experience you can get on next gen.'' That does not exactly justify the price, considering what Sony do.Anyway onto the actual topic. If i were you, i would've never entered the code on xbox.com. Always do it on your actual xbox. That way it goes straight to gold as soon as you enter it. Your best bet would be to ring them otherwise you're losing your money's worth and play time.
Gold does more than just let you play MP games. Each week there is deal that only Gold people can get in on. Last week was Portal, this week is 'Splosion Man. You can easily make up the $40 you spent on Gold with the savings from the deals.
And also, XBL has a ton more people on their servers than the zero populated game servers on PSN. Only a few games survive a couple weeks and than you still have a very small population compared to XBL.
Thanks for the answers.I dont really care i have to pay for this service, XBL is awesome and is very well worth the money. My problem is, im not in officialy supported country for XBL, so i can not call microsoft... they let us play here, but no official support whatsoever. Thats why im asking, o really do hope it will change in a few hours, or im screwed.

PSN have special offers every week on the playstation store in a section called ''Special offers'' Oh look you're saving money and you dont even pay for the service. Also zero populated game servers? PS3 copies sold = 31 million Xbox 360 copies sold = 39 million. And when a game come out a couple weeks they have few players? Pfft ok so what about: Uncharted 2 has a mass amount of players same as resistance 1 and 2, MW2, Warhawk, MGS4 online, Killzone 2 I could go on. So you might want to get your facts right first before you judge an online service you've never tried properly or ever.
Stop figting about what is better, lol this is not Console War forum/topic!!For the record, my GOLD live works now, took about 2-3 hrs to work.
