My son wants it, I figured I would ask actual gamers about it. I don't believe that crap they had on FOX. Just tell me how bad the sex scene is, language, etc. Thanks. Is Mass Effect (original) Okay for a 14- ...
its really not bad at all the sex scence of some side boob in it at the most and lasts like 10 sec. The game is also light language and violence wise.Is Mass Effect (original) Okay for a 14- ...
Thanks. He wanted it for a while, found it for 10$, and asked me. He'll be thanking you, too.
TV show alot more adult stuff , TV is like porno compare to Mass effect
You can actually see it on youtube, just do a search for Mass Effect love scene. I've seen more skin on Law and Order.
You literally can't see anything in the sex scene.

Remove the romance scene and ME1 would have been T rated. ME2 on the other hand has T rated romance but M rated language.
I'd be comfortable letting a 10-year-old play Mass Effect - the sex scene is a non-issue, the combat isn't violent, and there's no swearing (that I can remember, anyway).
I played games a lot worst than this when I was 14 and I turned out fine. If I remember correctly there's not much cursing and little to no blood and there is a very tiny sex scene that doesn't show any sexual parts at all.
Isn't that romance scene optional anyway?
its not violent but mature and suggestive situations and language are what define the M
It's optional. I never encountered it in ME1.
The sex is done somewhat tastefully, Shepard isn't like James Bond going around fornicating every woman he meets; it's just one scene that happens toward the end of the game with a love interest who you've been building up a relationship with throughout the game.
Don't mean to go against your parenting, but if you don't let him play violent games he'll proably end up playing them behind your back.
But OT it's fine..

Agreed. Usually the kids with the really strict parents are the ones that do the worst things (at least from what i've seen.) I knew a kid back in 8th grade and his parents wouldn't let him play any M game and rarely a T game. He was really weird. Really interested in ways to kill people, war, weapons, etc. Im sure that if his parents let him play games before he turned out like that, he wouldn't be that way.
Well, it is more for those homophobic people since you can get a girl+girl action. But, remember, the alien is either having both gender or no gender. Spoiler, they don't need intercourse to make offsping. They look like girls, but, their gender is unknown. Not that I remmeber it.
haha.. 14 yo.. I dont think you relise what your boy woudl get upto when your not around lol..
Other than the sex scene which you can easily youtube and decide for yourself, the game should have been labeled 'T'...
I honestly believe it is a more mature story than 14 year old can comprehend. Lots of politics, violence and romance
